Over Neil Hennessey’s 25-year career as a Landscape Architect, he has enjoyed creating cool, contemporary and innovative gardens that perfectly balance the bustle of modern life with relaxing melancholy of natural colours, form and character.

Our in-house garden design and landscaping team have years of experience in the design and construction of a wide range of garden schemes, from contemporary city rooftops and low maintenance urban to traditional cottage garden and country estates.

Life Outdoors charges £400 + VAT for all Garden Designs. 50% will be returned if you proceed with Life Outdoors to carry out your Landscaping Project.

Garden landscaping is the perfect way to give your garden a splash of your lifestyle and personality. Our design team can work with you to understand how you use your outdoor space, whether you want a louvered canopy to extend your evenings, spend more time with the children, make the work commute shorter with a garden office or cooking up a feast to entertain friends and family – we’ll design a practical layout that allows you to use your garden how you want.

Garden Design Consultation

All Landscape and Garden Design services involve an initial consultation, this is normally done over a scheduled phone call but for larger projects may involve us coming to you. At this stage, we will discuss the uses and elements you want within your new garden design as well as your budget.

We charge £80+ VAT for an initial Landscaping Consultation.

Site Survey

The initial concept stage is all about establishing the overall look of the project, how your proposed garden works; how space flows, and how it sits in relation to the house and its surroundings. Using the latest CAD 3D software and a good old-fashioned drawing board, we will then design and specify schemes tailored to your needs.

For all Garden Designs, we charge £400 + VAT. 50% of the Design Service fee will be returned if you choose us to complete your landscaping project.

MasterPlan

The next stage is to progress the sketch proposal into the Masterplan. The Masterplan is the backbone of the project, consisting of detailed design and technical drawings that will guide the landscaping team. There is a charge for this design work, partly refunded if we then proceed with the construction phase of the project.

Construction

At this stage, the garden landscaping process can begin, and the garden design becomes a reality. We can provide a full or partial project management service – or act as a professional advisor ensuring a seamless interface between the garden design team and all specialist contractors or consultants to facilitate the seamless delivery of the project on time and to budget. For seamless execution of the design, we recommend using our own in-house landscaping team.
